Kasie DeCaster

I started my career at Icon Salon in 2009. After years of working at Icon, in 2018 I purchased Icon Salon and set out on a new venture. I have a true love for my trade and business and I’m thrilled every day to be able to take my passion and create a rewarding career in this industry surrounded by beautiful people and beautiful souls. I feel that continuing education is not only fun and extremely motivating but also a priority when striving to be the greatest version of yourself. I’ve had the opportunity to travel to many places for education within the country and even as far as Iceland to continue to be inspired and grow. I’m most passionate about doing balayage and blondes but have found joy in every aspect of the salon. I have the honor of leading 20 beautiful, confident and talented ‘Icons’. In my spare time, you’ll find me with my husband Gary, my two kids, Gunner and Delilah, spending time with family & friends or enjoying time by the lake.

 I’ve been behind the chair for over 20 years and have been at Icon Salon since it opened in 2003. I love cutting hair and transforming a guest’s look with shape, precision and texture. I’m also a curly hair whisperer. The people I’ve met over my many years in the industry have enriched my life greatly. I’ve had the opportunity to travel and attend so many classes and hair shows over the years and love staying current with new trends and products. When I’m not at the salon I’m spending time with my family and visiting our cabin up north.

 I have been an employee at Icon Salon since the doors opened in 2003. I have extensive experience with Davines, and I am so excited to continue exploring education opportunities with Bumble and bumble, Amika and Moroccanoil. My favorite education destination I traveled to was Rome, Italy. I’ve always been passionate in what I do, and fortunate for the people I meet. Each guest has a different story and wants a different look and I get to help them with that! Outside of the salon I’m spending time with my husband and 3 children, enjoying the outdoors, or baking.

I started my hair journey in May of 2016 as an apprentice to Icon’s former owner Jody Graf. In 2018 I was officially licensed as a cosmetologist after two years of rigorous hands on training! I specialize in balayage color as well as “lived in” or organic looking color and blondes. I am also passionate about bridal hair and makeup! I truly enjoy making a bride and her party feel amazing on their special day! I have continued to learn through traveling, several times to the International Beauty Show in New York for in depth education on the latest techniques in the industry. In addition, I’ve had the opportunity to attend the Davines World Wide Hair Tour in Iceland to further my education. In my free time you can find me sipping on a cup of coffee while reading a good book, bingeing on the latest Netflix hit or scouring social media to stay on top of the latest hair and makeup trends!

I graduated cosmetology school from Empire Beauty School in September of 2024. I love doing blonding services and styles. My goal is to make each and every client feel confident when they leave my chair. I look forward to growing my passion and becoming a better stylist everyday, and very excited to be working at Icon! In my free time, I enjoy Snowboarding in the winter months!

I graduated from cosmetology school in September of 2024 and I love doing blonding and lived in colors. Im excited to be working at Icon and growing as a stylist while learning more everyday! In my free time I love being outside, going out with friends and spending time with family, especially my little cousins. I hope to see you in my chair soon!!

In August of 2020, I started the cosmetology program at Fox Valley Technical College and as a receptionist at Icon Salon. During the rise of the pandemic, I was still able to get precise hands on training from talented educators. While working at Icon, as a receptionist I also got the opportunity to shadow and recieve tips and tricks from Kasie and Sam behind the chair! I love putting a smile on my clients faces and make them feel confident. It’s so motivating, valuable and makes everyday rewarding. I look forward to furthering my education with new trends and techniques. In my free time, I loike to go boating and spending time at the sandbar at Legend Lake with my friends and family!

In 2023 I graduated from Empire Beauty school and I am diving headfirst into learning the ropes and eager to further my knowlege with Icon. I have always been inspired by the beauty industry since I was a kid. My main source of inspiration comes from my mother who was also a Cosmetologist. As a kid, I can remember watching my mother at work in the salon and becoming inspired by her passion for hair. I am passionate about the connections I make with each person to walk through the door, making them feel cared for and making them laugh is what I aspire to do each day. I love a hair trasformation and being able to help someone step outside their comfort zone. I love anything to do with cuts and dimensional looks as well. Outside the salon, I love any sort of physical activity, whether it’s lifting at the gym, biking or going for a walk, I’m there! I am also a foodie! I love being in the kitchen and making food or going to new places to try new food. In my free time I also enjoy cozying up in my bed with my adorable pug Lovie, who I love more than he does probably!
